SET AND COSTUME NOTES

This play can easily be produced on a limited budget. The original production was performed on a bare stage with minimal furniture and almost no props. Scene changes have been kept to a minimum between the Longbourn and Netherfield drawing rooms and the Longbourn garden. Period costumes are needed, but only one costume is required per character. If desired, gloves, hats, aprons or other articles can be added for different scenes. A more elaborate set with additional furniture, flats, etc. can also be used. However, too detailed a setting may slow the pace of the show.
